Parkway in New Orleans

God has done an amazing work through our time in New Orleans. Take a look at the sheer numbers from the trip…

- 138 of God’s people
- 550 miles traveled
- 8 days of service
- 28 children at VBS
- 2 visits by children to nursing home residents
- 60+ teens and kids at soccer camp
- 50+ teens and kids at basketball camp
- 8 professions of faith at basketball camp
- 2 Habitat for Humanity houses worked on (sub-floor, wall framing)
- 1 church drywalled, electrical trim out
- 2 houses drywalled and trimmed out
- 1 house paid clean-up, with proceeds to seminary family
- 10 homeless bathed and clothed
- 20 visits to FEMA housing residents for prayer and encouragement
- $750+ raised for seminary families
- 2800+ meals prepared by our cooks
- 40+ neighborhood yards mowed
- 14 rooms painted in the church
- 100’s of houses canvassed
- 1 concert of praise in the French Quarter
- 2 youth choir musicals at the church and the Rescue Mission
- 1 block party for the community
- 2000+ photos taken
- 2700+ visits from family and friends to this website
- COUNTLESS lives forever changed

ISAIAH 40:28-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;

Hello everyone…

Thanks so much for keeping up with us this week while we’re here in New Orleans. It’s only Tuesday, and there have already been more than 250 visits to this site! Wow! Words really can’t express how awesome our experiences have been so far - but hopefully these videos and photos will do a better job of that than any of our words could.

Now all of us on the trip want to hear back from you, too! You can click on the “Comments” button below any post to leave us a message. We welcome any words of encouragement you want to pass along - and of course, your prayers are appreciated more than you’ll ever know.

On Saturday, June 30, over 130 people from Parkway will depart for a week of mission work in New Orleans. This blog site will serve as a journal of the week’s events, with daily video and picture updates covering all aspects of the trip.
